SAINT PETERS, Mo. - The 2010 Stanford synchronized swimming team split its events at Lindenwood University, Friday night, in Saint Peters, Mo. The Cardinal won the `B' Figures, but finished second in the `A' Elements competition.
"We have spent a lot of our time so far this season working on our routines and preparing our girls for trials," said head coach Heather Olson. "This element competition showed us that we need to spend a little more time working on our elements. We are confident they will improve in future competitions."
Sophomore Alex Bollaidlaw captured first place in the `A' Elements, while the team finished second overall. Stanford won the `B' Figures as sophomore Morgan Fuller paced the team with a fourth-place finish.
The Cardinal remains in Saint Peters, Mo., Saturday, to participate in the Lindenwood Invitational. Stanford will compete against Incarnate Word University and host Lindenwood University.
