Salt Lake City, UT - Stanford women's gymnast Larissa Fontaine completed her 1999 season by finishing third in the vault at the NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships on Saturday night. With a score of 9.8125, Fontaine, the 1998 NCAA Champion in the vault, finished in a third place tie with Georgia's Karin Lichy. The winner of the vault event was UCLA's Heidi Moneymaker, who received a mark of 9.8625.
Sarah Harding also competed in the individual event finals, where she finished in ninth place on the floor exercise. Harding scored a 9.7500, which was 0.1750 points below Bowling Green's Marny Oestreng (9.9250), who came in first.
