STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford's regular season women's soccer finale at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium on Sunday (1 p.m.) against California is sold out.
However, there are 200 spots available for students. The section will not be blocked off, so get there early. Gates open at noon.
There are standing-room only spots behind each goal.
Also, keep in mind that there is a parking advisory:
Because of a women's basketball exhibition Sunday, part of the Varsity Sunken Diamond lot, and the Maples Pavilion lot, will be blocked off for women's basketball parking permit holders and those with blue disability placards. It's recommended that soccer fans arrive early because the rest of the lot will fill up fast. Other game day parking will be at the Track House lot at the corner of Campus and Galvez and in El Camino Grove, the dirt lot behind the football stadium. As for Sunday's match, No. 1 Stanford (19-0, 8-0) will attempt to complete the first perfect regular season in school history and win the Pacific-10 Conference title outright, against the Bears (10-7-1, 4-4). Stanford needs a draw or victory to ensure sole possession of the Pac-10 crown. Already, Stanford has earned a share of its first title since 2002 and the Pac-10's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
The NCAA Tournament field will be determined Monday during a 5 p.m. PT selection show on ESPN News. There is a chance Stanford will host. If so, Stanford is looking to add additional bleachers for the postseason.
