Foluke Akinradewo Named Stanford/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week

Freshman middle blocker Faluke Akinradewo (Plantation, FL/St. Thomas Aquinas HS) of the Stanford Women's Volleyball Team was selected as the Stanford/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 13-Sept. 19.

Akinradewo helped lead third-ranked Stanford to three victories at the Stanford Invitational last weekend, collecting 47 kills in 93 attempts for a .376 hitting percentage. Akinradewo also tallied ten blocks and five digs at the Invitational and currently leads the squad in kills (169) and hitting percentage (.427).

This is Akinradewo's first Stanford/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor. Akinradewo and the rest of the Cardinal Women's Volleyball Team face off against USC at home this Friday, September 23 (7:00 pm, PT) at Maples Pavilion.
