STANFORD, Calif. - Its first edition of the 2012 season, Stanford Football Weekly and host Kevin Danna talked Tuesday with Bradford M. Freeman Director of Football and head coach David Shaw about the state of the Cardinal coming out of training camp - the quarterback battle, toughness and preparing freshmen to play - as well as upcoming opponent San Jose State Spartans.
Three senior players also joined Stanford Football Weekly. Fifth-year senior outside linebacker Chase Thomas can't wait to hit somebody else after nine months of banging against teammates. Senior quarterback Josh Nunes is elated after a long competition. Senior running back Stepfan Taylor is ready for his time to lead this team, continuing a proud legacy of Cardinal leadership.
