STANFORD, Calif. - The Cardinal welcomes eight freshmen to the squad this year. will profile each of them throughout the season. In the final edition get to know infielder Hanna Winter.

Nickname: Nabs

The most noteworthy thing about my hometown: Jenna Becerra is from my hometown!

Talent I would most like to have: To be able to play a musical instrument well (preferably piano which I used to play but I'm pretty horrible now)

My parents' occupations are: My dad is a patent agent and my mom is a homemaker (aka housewife but she always makes me say homemaker)

Favorite napping spot: My bed

The perfect meal includes: Must have garlic (in any form)

My favorite thing about our team is: Our great chemistry and positive energy

The furthest from home I have ever been is: Hong Kong

The first sport I ever played was: Ballet? (if that counts as a sport..) if not then softball

The person I would most like to meet is: RAIN BI! (he's a Korean pop star... hehehe)

My earliest sports memory is: After watching my sister throw the ball at her first softball practice (I wasn't planning on playing softball at all), I wanted to play too so I practiced in my little school uniform jumper (first practice ever!)

In my off-time, I'm most likely to be found: Hanging out with friends, doing laundry or watching youtube/anime/Korean shows on my laptop... alone in my room

Something people would be surprised to know about me: I love K-pop! (Korean music)

The best thing about Stanford is: The wonderful people! I have not met someone I don't like

Least Favorite Food: Mustard greens (I've been force fed those by my mother... bad experiences)

My favorite movie: Lord of the Rings or Mulan

Favorite city: Tokyo

If I had to cook all of my meals, I'd probably survive on: Spicy Korean Ramen (to be specific, Shin Ramyun... best food ever!)

Sports teams I followed when I was younger: The Giants (baseball) mostly because my good friend at the time was a big fan so naturally I had to be as well

The place I'd most like to visit: Korea and Japan

Hidden talent: I'm fairly decent at Dance Dance Revolution aka DDR

My favorite place that I ever visited is: Hong Kong

My favorite place on the Stanford campus is: My fantastic freshman dorm: Cedro!

My favorite class at Stanford has been: Math 51

I'm most thankful for: All the support I receive from my family, friends, and coaches

Best book I have ever read: Harry Potter

My parents were right when they told me: Luck is created from hard work

My favorite thing to do on campus is: Relax at the CoHo and eat their yummy food

I would love to trade places for a day with: A Korean pop star

My funniest teammate is: Everyone is funny... I can't choose!

The sport I am the worst at is: Snowboarding

The best advice I ever received was: (softball related) "Just work on improvement and don't try to do too much too soon." - former coach Mark Yamauchi
