The Stanford women's varsity eight is back in the top twenty ranking at #15 for the first time since March 31. The Cardinal received this ranking based on their strong performance at the Pac-10 Championship's where they defeated then #12 Washington State University and finished fourth in the grand final. Despite their late season surge, the Cardinal did not receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship's held May 28-30 on Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, CA. Bids are given to the top 12 teams in the country and four at-large varsity eights and is based on late season performance and strength of racing throughout the year.
The Cardinal Women host their annual end-of-the-year awards banquet tonight at the Morrison Boathouse.
