Stanford, Calif. - After a week of wet weather and forecasts of more to come, No. 1 Stanford and No. 10 UCLA have agreed to move tomorrow's Pac-10 match up to noon. The match will still be played at the Taube Tennis Center.
The Cardinal will host both L.A. teams this weekend, with UCLA at noon on Friday and USC at noon on Saturday. Stanford is 18-0 on the season with a 5-0 Pac-10 record. The Cardinal has won 74-consecutive matches and 92-straight matches on its home court.
Stanford defeated UCLA earlier this season, besting the Bruins 6-0 in Los Angeles (doubles was not played due to rain). UCLA is now 12-2 on the season with a 4-0 mark in Pac-10 play.
Stanford is also slated for a rematch with No. 4 USC on Saturday, which will also begin at noon at the Taube Tennis Center. The Trojans and Cardinal played in February, with the match starting on Friday but concluding on Sunday due to rain. Stanford ended up winning, 5-2, although the Women of Troy led 1-0 after capturing the doubles point on the first day of competition. Prior to the stoppage, the Cardinal also trailed in four of the six singles matches.
