Feb. 17, 2006
As the rain fell over Mark's Stadium this afternoon, the top-ranked lady Cardinal was also falling. For the first time in their 2006 season, Stanford did not capture the doubles point. Fourth-ranked University of Southern California grabbed two of the three matches 8-6 to come away with the win.
In singles, USC was also leading in four of six sets, but the matches were cut short due to the wet weather. The battle between the Cardinal and the Trojans is scheduled to resume at 11 a.m. this Sunday at Marks Stadium in Los Angeles.
