STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford Football and The Cardinal Channel, the creative video production team of Stanford Athletics, today released the 14th episode of "How We Do It," the 15-week original video series that takes viewers inside all angles of the Cardinal Football program.
Episode 14, "Resolve," is a behind-the-scenes look at Stanford's 17-14 overtime victory at No. 1 Oregon.
The intensity was turned full tilt Saturday at Autzen Stadium, when Stanford was matched against its greatest challenge of the year. It started in the locker room and during the pre-game warm-ups, with all of the atmosphere of a heavyweight title fight. When Oregon ripped off a 77-yard run and threatened to take over, the Stanford defense struck back with explosive and sure tackles by FS Devon Carrington, ILB Shayne Skov, ILB A.J. Tarpley, CB Terrence Brown, CB Alex Carter and more. Meanwhile, young QB Kevin Hogan led the offense down the field and into the end zone, bolstered by the playmaking of RB Stepfan Taylor, TE Zach Ertz and teammates.
When the score was tied and the drama doubled in overtime, an embattled kicker took center stage. Before watching his historic game-winning field goal, viewers enter the Stanford locker room with exclusive and unforgettable footage of Bradford M. Freeman Director of Football David Shaw delivering his post-game speech to the Cardinal. His emotions and pride for K Jordan Williamson redefine the kick that reverberated throughout the nation, as the character of this Cardinal team comes shining through.
