• Stanford had its five-game Super Regional win streak snapped and fell to 10-3 (.769) all-time in its sixth Super Regional appearance, winning each of the previous five

• Stanford now needs to sweep the final two games of the Corvallis Super Regional to go to the College World Series for the first time since 2003 and the 16th time in school history

• Stanford is making its 13th straight postseason appearance in the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship

• Stanford dropped its fourth straight game to Oregon State (all in Corvallis) and has lost six of the seven to the Beavers in the past two seasons but still leads the all-time series, 35-21

Greg Reynolds first inning balk marked the fourth time in four games versus Oregon State that Stanford has been called on a balk

• The ESPN2/ESPU broadcast was the seventh time this season the Cardinal has played on live television and the fifth time before a national audience

• The crowd of 3173 set a new post-renovation attendance record at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field
