Stanford, Calif. - Stanford senior nose tackle Babatunde Oshinowo has been named the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Week. Oshinowo had career-highs of 3.0 sacks, 4.0 tackles for loss and nine total tackles to help lead the Cardinal to its third straight win last Saturday with a 45-35 victory over Arizona State at Stanford Stadium. Oshinowo earned the honor for the first time in his career and was also the first Stanford player to earn a Pac-10 weekly honor this season.
Stanford (4-2, 3-1 Pac-10) will next square off with unbeaten No. 8 UCLA (7-0, 4-0) in a Pac-10 contest to be televised live nationally by Fox Sports Net this Saturday, October 29 (3:30 pm, PT).
