STANFORD, Calif. -
This on-line presentation highlights some of the things that make Stanford one of the premier universities in the world, and the Cardinal one of the finest gymnastics programs in the country.
Stanford is No. 4 on the U.S. News and World Report's 2010 list of Top 10 National Universities.
Also, the Cardinal gymnastics team was fourth in the nation last season, has finished among the nation's Top 10 in each of the past four seasons, and has advanced to the NCAA Championships eight times in the past 10 years.
Last season, Stanford had a national champion -- Carly Janiga in the uneven bars -- and placed seven gymnasts on the Scholastic All-America team, all with grade-point averages above 3.5.
Stanford opens the 2011 season on Jan. 9 at the Pac-10 Preview in Los Angeles, and opens its home season with a dual meet against defending NCAA champion UCLA, on Jan. 23 at Burnham Pavilion.
