The Stanford University women's gymnastics team will host a free clinic on Saturday, December 16th, from 8:00 a.m. until 12 noon. The clinic will be held at the Gymnastics Facility at the Ford Center, located on the campus of Stanford University. All participants will receive a free admittance to the team's first home competition, on Friday, January 19th, against Pac-10 rival and national power UCLA.
The four-hour clinic will be taught by members of the Stanford women's gymnastics team along with the coaching staff of head coach Mark Cook and assistants Rene Lyst Cook and Wayne Wright. Among Stanford gymnasts scheduled to attend are 2000 All-Americans Katy Herbert (Beam) and Jen Exaltacion (All-around and Beam) along with freshman Lise Leville, a member of the 2000 Canadian Olympic team. There will also be a performance on each of the four events by the entire team.
Registration and liability forms will be completed from 8:00-8:45 a.m., and all participants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For any questions, please call the Stanford women's gymnastics office at (650) 725-0018.
