Stanford Synchronized Swimming will conduct their final practices this week in preparation for the upcoming Collegiate Nationals meet in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Having trained diligently toward this competition for six months, the team is excited to take on their perennial rival, Ohio State University.
Stanford has persevered through numerous setbacks this season due to injuries and illness. Despite only days left to train and finish final exams, the athletes have high spirits for an overall victory at Nationals. The experience and professionalism of junior Katie Norris, an Olympic Training squad member, has given the team extra motivation to dominate in Michigan, where she is expected to lead the team to gold medal swims. The team will enter two trios, two duets, one solo, and one team routine in the competition. With seven national team members on the Cardinal squad, each swim will be magnificent to watch.
Collegiate Nationals will begin on Thursday, March 25th and continue through the weekend, with final swims in all events taking place on Saturday, March 27th.
