STANFORD, Calif. - The defending Pac-10 champion Stanford women's gymnastics team is extending an invitation to families to come take part in Parents' Day Out on Sunday, Dec. 14.
The event gives families an opportunity to meet the gymnasts, watch them perform, and participate in fun activities afterward.
Stanford will hold a free intrasquad competition from 12:30-3 p.m. at its Ford Center training facility. The scrimmage is the final dress rehearsel for the upcoming season in which the Cardinal will attempt to improve upon its national third-place finish of last season.
After the competition, there will be an autograph session, which will allow the gymnasts to meet and thank their supporters.
From 3-6 p.m., girls and boys ages 5-17 are invited to participate in activities, such as "playing" in the team's 15,000-foot training facility and getting to know the team. Snacks, pizza and movies will be provided. There will be a $30 charge per child.
