Stanford, Calif. - John Elway, Bill Walsh, Jim Plunkett and John Lynch highlight the list of celebrities who have committed to play in the Stanford Sports Legends Celebrity Golf Classic on Monday, April 25 at the Stanford Golf Course. Other Stanford celebrities slated to participate in the event include Darrin Nelson, Walt Harris, Adam Keefe, Brad Muster and John Dunning, among others.
There are still spots available in the event at the price of $325 per golfer and $1,300 per foursome (each group consists of a paid foursome and a celebrity). The price includes green fees, cart, lunch, dinner and beverages.
The tournament will be played in an 18-hole scramble format with a shotgun start at 11:00 a.m., followed by a cocktail hour and dinner. The event will conclude with live and silent auctions that will be hosted by long-time Stanford announcer Bob Murphy.
All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Stanford Athletic Department Scholarship Fund (the Buck/Cardinal Club).
