Stanford, Calif. - After an early rain delay this morning and a suspended match around noon, the day's NCAA Women's Semifinals have been officially postponed until Monday morning. The men's quarterfinal matches being played in San Francisco today will determine tomorrow afternoon's semifinal field.
At 9 a.m. on Monday morning, Miami-USC will continue play. The Women of Troy are up 1-0 after winning the doubles point, although the Hurricanes won five first sets before the match was halted.
At 11 a.m., top-seeded Stanford and fourth-seeded Florida will face off to determine the second participant for the 2006 Championship match.
In the men's semifinals, Texas will face the UCLA-Pepperdine winner at 2 p.m., while the Stanford-Baylor winner will take on the Georgia-Virginia winner at 5 p.m.
The women's team final was slated for Monday night at 6:30 p.m., but will be pushed back a day. Tuesday's schedule, with men's and women's team finals, as well as women's individual competition will be determined by the NCAA Committee at a later time after meeting with coaches, tournament officials and ESPN.
