In a busy weekend, Stanford Synchronized Swimming added to their winning streak with consecutive dual-meet victories over Florida State University and the University of Florida.

The Cardinal opened the weekend with an elegant swim against the Seminole club team on Friday afternoon. Senior captain Katie Norris enjoyed a triumphant return to her hometown of Tallahassee by winning the solo event. Stanford's trios once again captured first and second, with the routine of Courtenay Stewart, Sara Lowe, and Samantha Bongiovanni-Duclos claiming the gold. The Cardinal pair of Mari Maekawa and Hilary Homenko placed first in the duet competition with a score of 88.5.

In the team event, Stanford's "A" squad of Bongiovanni-Duclos, Carlig, Knight, Ashley McHugh, Elizabeth-Anne Markman, Norris, Lowe, Ramage, and Stewart placed first with a score of 96.16. The "B" squad of Maekawa, Homenko, Katherine Norris, and Hae-Rin Lee finished second with a strong 90.66.

Stanford followed their victory in Tallahassee with a bus ride to Gainesville, where they faced off against the Gators. Swimming at UF's beautiful outdoor complex, the Cardinal extended their winning streak and captured four golds. Although the Stanford team battled illness and fatigue from the previous night's competition, the athletes pulled together to produce some of their best performances of the season.
