STANFORD, Calif.-- Stanford Football, following a 12-1 campaign and a victory in the Orange Bowl, is ranked No. 6 in the USA Today / Coaches preseason poll.

The Cardinal received 1,101 votes, 15 points behind No. 5 Florida State. Oklahoma, Alabama, Oregon and LSU round out the top-four.

Stanford will host the Ducks at Stanford Stadium on November 12. No. 18-ranked Notre Dame comes to The Farm on November 26 to close out the seven-game schedule, beginning on September 3 against San Jose State at 2 p.m. For tickets call 1-800-STANFORD or go online at gostanford.com.
