Stanford, Calif. - Stanford Athletics today announced details regarding Stanford Stadium parking and tailgating for the 2006 football season. The 2006 Parking and Tailgate Map will be coming soon and redesigned to continue Stanford Athletics' tradition of providing free parking, as well as help allocate appropriate parking areas for season ticket holders and the general public, particularly as it relates to those who have opted to join the inaugural Buck/Cardinal Champions Fund.

With the help of the City of Palo Alto and the Stanford Police Department, Stanford Athletics assessed previous parking arrangements and reassigned parking lots in an effort to provide Buck/Cardinal Champions Fund members priority parking, as well as improved stadium ingress and egress, a component of the visitor's overall game day experience.

As in previous years, football season ticket holders with reserved seats (excluding special priced Group Sales and Family Plan sections) will be eligible to receive one (1) parking pass for up to four (4) tickets purchased. Charter members of the Buck/Cardinal Champions Fund will receive one (1) parking pass for up to two (2) tickets purchased.

Please note that parking lots are designated and availability is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The following parking areas have been allocated in the 2006 Stanford Football Parking and Tailgate Map:

Buck/Cardinal Champions Fund Director's Level and Suite parking will be located in Lot 6 (Track House) and Varsity and Touchdown members' parking will be located in Lot 2 (El Camino Grove).

Season Ticket parking will be increased and include the following lots: Lot 3, Lot 7, Lot 8 (Arboretum Grove), Lot 10 (Galvez Lot) and Master's Grove.

Disabled parking will continue to be located in the Sunken Diamond Lot located on the south end of the stadium, as well as the H Lot located near the west side of the stadium.

Chuck Taylor Grove tailgate members will continue to park in a designated section of the Sunken Diamond Lot and Toyon Grove tailgate members will remain in Toyon Grove Lot.

General Public parking will be located in Lot 4 (IM South), Lot 5 (Galvez Field), Lot 9 (Lasuen Grove), Lot 11 (Maples Pavilion) and Lot 12 (Serra Complex), all of which are within a short walk of the stadium.

In addition to parking lot modifications, season ticket holders and stadium patrons can look forward to receiving color-coded parking passes that correspond with improved directional signage, increased officer and traffic support, as well as suggested ingress/egress routes.
