New Haven, CT - The Stanford Women sailors continue to dominate at the big east coast regattas. After warming up with a 5th overall at last weekend's windy Navy Fall Women's (6th in A, 6th in B, 7th in C Divisions), the Stanford Women traveled back east this weekend to challenge the east coasters at the Yale Women's Intersectional Championship. Jen Porter '04 and Jessica Gray '05 dominated A Division to take top honors of the 20 schools participating. With four first place finishes out of eleven races, Porter/Gray earned an unusually large 17-point cushin over second place Hobart/William Smith, and 18 points over St. Mary's College of Maryland. Managing 5 top five finishes out of eleven races, B-Division team Ashley Frush '04 and Jenais Zarlin '04 earned 7th place in the tightly contested B-Division. As a team of Sophomores, Stanford Sailing looks forward to a great future with these talented Women, "Finishing 5th and 3rd overall at these two major intersectionals should move our women up to the top 10 of the national rankings," commented coach Jay Kehoe.
