Stanford Football Legends To Participate In Ceremonial Stadium Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Saturday

Stanford, Calif. - Join more than 25 former Stanford football legends in a ceremonial ribbon cutting cermony to formally open the new Stanford Stadium on Saturday at 5:20 pm, PT. Be there as fans line up to experience the official "opening" of the new Stanford Stadium.

Former Stanford football legends representing over six decades of Stanford football will participate in the grand opening ribbon cutting located at six designated gates. Representatives include John Ralston, Jim Plunkett, Bill Walsh, Darrin Nelson and Steve Stenstrom to name a few.

• Gate 2: 1940s and `50s ... The Wow Boys and the Chuck Taylor era
• Gate 4: The John Ralston era ... 1960s and back-to-back Rose Bowls
• Gate 6: 1970s and the Sun/Bluebonnet Bowl era
• Gate 9: 1980s and the Gator Bowl era
• Gate 8: The "Now Boys" and the 1990s
• Gate 12: The New Millennium ... The 2000 Rose Bowl and 2001 Seattle Bowl era
