STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford senior forward Lindsay Taylor was named Pac-12 Conference women's soccer Player of the Week for her play in the Cardinal's weekend victories over No. 8 Notre Dame and No. 11 UC Irvine.
Taylor also was selected as the Primetime Player of the Week by collegesoccer360.com, and to Soccer America's Team of the Week.
Taylor led a late comeback against Notre Dame by scoring the tying goal and assisting on the winner - both in the final 10 minutes - to lead Stanford to a 2-1 victory in a rematch of last year's NCAA championship final.
Taylor, who leads the team with 6 goals, scored on a hard 25-yard shot that snuck just inside the right post. She then served up a corner kick to Mariah Nogueira, who headed in the winner in the 88th minute.
Though she didn't score, Taylor helped Stanford to a 2-0 victory over UCI on Sunday and the Cardinal has since vaulted to the No. 1 ranking.
Taylor is eighth on Stanford's all-time goal-scoring list, with 39.
