Stanford, Calif. - Stanford's Jesse Fonner won the men's 3-meter on the final day of competition at the two-day Stanford Diving Invite at the Avery Aquatic Center's Maas Diving Facility on Saturday. USC's Blyth Hartley won her second event in as many days with a victory in the women's 3-meter. Stanford's Kim Powers captured second in the men's and women's combined platform, while former Stanford diver and NCAA champion Erin Sones won the event.
Fonner scored a combined two-day total of 500.00 points to win the men's 3-meter competition, followed by teammate Adam Peterson (467.40). Other Stanford divers in Saturday's finals of the event included Matt Bisordi (4th, 423.505) and Brian Ferris (7th, 239.80).
Hartley won the women's 3-meter competition with a two-day score of 545.90, followed by teammate Nicci Fusaro (488.40) and Stanford's Erica Sorgi (448.10). Other Stanford divers in Saturday's finals of the event included Alexis Sowa (4th, 445.05), Powers (5th, 429.85), Ashlee Rosenthal (6th, 426.50) and McKenze Murphy (8th, 402.50).
Sones won the men's and women's combined platform with a score of 441.20, followed by Powers (426.85) and Fonner (419.45). Other Stanford divers in the event included Brian Ferris (4th, 393.75) and Alexis Sowa (6th, 384.70).
