STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford women's lacrosse player Lauren Schmidt earned Mountain Pacific Sports Federation's co-Player of the Week honors after her school-record six-goal performance against No. 20 William and Mary on Sunday.

Schmidt tied a mark held by six others during the Cardinal's 18-9 victory. Her total matched a mark held by six others over the 15 years of the program. Schmidt, who missed all of last season with a knee injury, has quickly returned to the level of play that made her an All-MPSF selection as a freshman. She leads the team in scoring (27 points) and is tied for the lead in goals (17).

This becomes the second such honor for Schmidt this season and the fourth for a Stanford player. Dana Lindsay and goalie Annie Read were the others.
