Phoenix, AZ (AP) - The Phoenix Suns signed both of their first-round draft picks - Amare Stoudemire and Casey Jacobsen - on Friday. Terms of Jacobsen's deal weren't revealed.
Under the bargaining agreement, rookie first-round contracts are for three years with a team option for a fourth season. The Suns retain right of first refusal for a fifth season.
Both players were in Phoenix on Friday to participate in the Suns' rookie and free agent camp.
Jacobsen left Stanford after his junior season, but still is third on the school's career scoring list with 1,723 points. He owns or shares 49 school records. He averaged 18.1 points and shot 42.7 percent from 3-point range in his college career.
The 6-foot-10, 245-pound Stoudemire was the only high school player drafted this year. As a senior, he averaged 29.1 points, 15 rebounds, 6.1 blocks and 2.1 steals. He orally committed to Memphis University before deciding to enter the NBA draft instead.
