Enter Julius's Chat Room

STANFORD, Calif. - On Wednesday, Stanford men's basketball player Julius Barnes will make a special visit to the ESPN.com moderated chat room to talk about the 10th-ranked Cardinal's upcoming series with No. 20 USC and No. 25 UCLA.

Barnes has proven to be a valuable player at both the point and off-guard positions this season and has the ability to run the fast break, and break down defenses with penetration. The 6-1 junior guard scored a career-high 27 points (8-for-12 from the floor, 4-for-7 from three-point territory) along with five assists and three steals against California (1/4/02) in the Pac-10 season opener then scored 23 points along with four rebounds and four assists at UCLA (1/24/02). He helped spearhead the Cardinal to victory with 19 points (7-for-9 from the floor) along with four assists against Michigan State (12/29/01) at the Pete Newell Challenge. Barnes is averaging 11.0 ppg, third-best on the Cardinal varsity and is ranked sixth in the Pac-10 in assist/turnover ratio (1.63).

The Cardinal (17-6, 10-4 Pac-10) will take on the Trojans (18-6, 10-4 Pac-10), in a battle for first place in the conference, on Thursday, February 21 at 7:30 p.m. PT in Maples Pavilion. Stanford will face UCLA (17-8, 9-5 Pac-10) on Saturday, February 23 at 1 p.m. as well.

Barnes won't hit chat until Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. PT. Feel free to drop him some questions now and we'll save them for his arrival.
