Stanford, Calif. - The Stanford Lacrosse program announced its 2003 schedule today, which includes seven matches against 2002 NCAA Tournament teams. The Cardinal will host 10 games in addition to the Mountain Pacific Lacrosse League (MPLL) Tournament.
The Cardinal will face two teams from last season's Final Four with NCAA Runner-Up Georgetown at The Farm on Mar. 8th and NCAA Semifinalist Cornell in Ithaca, NY on Apr. 28th. Stanford will also compete against five other Tourney teams: at Ohio State (Feb. 28), vs. Duke (Mar. 29), vs. Maryland - Baltimore County (Mar. 31), at Notre Dame (Apr. 13), and vs. Loyola - Md. (Apr. 19).
Stanford will host the MPLL Tournament on May 3rd and 4th. The Cardinal won the conference title in the league's first year last season. Stanford will open the season on Feb. 15th at UC Davis and begin its home schedule on Feb. 22nd against New Hampshire.
