NICKNAME
I never developed a nickname over the years. I don't know if that's a good thing. Maybe it is.

FAVORITE FOOD
My mom's lasagna. I look forward to eating that every time I visit.

FAVORITE MUSIC ARTIST(s)
Metallica and Pearl Jam.

FAVORITE SPORTS TEAM
San Francisco 49ers. Even though I'm not from around here. I grew up in Atlanta and they always destroyed the Falcons in the 80's. I was just a little kid and I kind of picked a team.

FAVORITE PLACE TO HANG OUT
I like hanging out at our house (he lives with Stanford football players John Sande and Russell Stewart, as well as former player Chris Johnson. It's kind of the hangout off campus so everyone can get away.

FAVORITE CLASS
A sports Medicine class I took with (team doctor) Dr. Matheson my sophomore year. It was really interested considering the sport I play has a lot of injuries.

FAVORITE HOBBY
Playing pick-up basketball, as well as golf and video games. (Former Stanford starting quarterback) Todd Husak and I always played golf every Sunday. I've got to find a new partner.

FAVORITE VIDEO GAME
Mario-Kart and Mario-Golf.

FAVORITE MOVIE
Good Will Hunting. I'm a huge Matt Damon fan.

FAVORITE TV SHOW
I like Friends. I don't know why, I just got into it in high school. They play reruns on UPN twice a day, and I started to pick it up here. I think I've seen every episode it's safe to say.

FAVORITE ATHLETE
Jerry Rice of the 49ers. I picked him up as a young kid. His respect, his work ethic and his love for the game are things I admire.

FAVORITE NON-FOOTBALL ACTIVITY
Playing pick-up basketball. We just play pick-up games with the football players. It's pretty competitive. There are good players on the team. They will surprise you.

ONE WORD THAT DESCRIBES YOU
Competitive. Whether its football, basketball, golf or video games. I just don't like to lose.

IF YOU WERE GOING ON A ROAD TRIP AND COULD ONLY TAKE ONE CD, WHICH ONE WOULD YOU TAKE? I
made a CD of all of my favorite Pearl Jam songs. I would probably take that one.

BEST VACATION OR TRIP YOU HAVE EVER TAKEN
Last spring in Cancun. We had a group of guys and had a lot of fun. It was a week to get away and hang out with the guys.

OPPONENT YOU WOULD MOST LIKE TO BEAT
Every team, but if I had to pick one it would probably be Notre Dame. When I was growing up in the Midwest, that was the big school. This year, that's were all my friends and family are going to be. It would be nice to beat them there. I am going to have 170 people come watch the game from my hometown (Germantown, Ohio).

HOW DO YOU PREPARE BEFORE A GAME? DO YOU HAVE ANY GAMEDAY SUPERSTITIONS?
I usually don't have superstitions. I play a different CD every week and just kind of focus on seeing plays happen, my assignments and seeing the game unfolding in my mind.

IF YOU COULD PLAY ANOTHER SPORT AT STANFORD, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
It would have to be golf. To be out in the sun, walking around and hanging out. I know there is more to it than that. It's more of a challenge. It's not something that I've come close to mastering.

BEST THING ABOUT BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT STANFORD
Being at an institution with such highly regarded academics and still having athletics are tops in the country. The mixture of both those you cant really find at any other place.

BEST PART ABOUT YOUR GAME
Mental preparation, knowing my assignments and getting the secondary lined up. Being at the right place at the right time. I make a lot of calls to get everyone lined up.

BEST SPORTING EVENT YOU HAVE EVER ATTENDED AS A SPECTATOR
It was a 49ers Monday Night Football game two years ago versus the New York Giants at 3Com Park. It is the only time I've ever seen them play out here. Steve Young was still quarterback. It was everything I had expected. I got an adrenaline rush when I went into the stadium. I had always wanted to go out to San Francisco on vacation to see the 49ers when I was a kid but never did.

SOMEWHERE YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN THAT YOU WOULD MOST LIKE TO VISIT
Hawaii. I'm a beach, ocean, and fun-in-the sun kind of guy.

IF YOU COULD HAVE DINNER WITH A FAMOUS PERSON, WHO WOULD IT BE?
Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. They seem like they get along, like to have fun and enjoy hanging out.

WHAT DO YOU SEE YOURSELF DOING IN 10 YEARS?
I see myself coaching at some level. If not on the college level, I could see myself coaching and teaching at the high school level.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR ATHLETIC CAREER TO THIS POINT?
Going to the Rose Bowl. The whole two weeks were amazing. Just walking in the stadium with everybody yelling and screaming, just seeing the crowd was amazing. It's a feeling I don't think any of us will forget.

MOST INFLUENTAL PERSON IN YOUR LIFE
My parents. They always wanted what was best for me growing up. They've always stood behind my decisions, like to come to Stanford.

WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE TO ATTEND STANFORD?
The academics and athletics, and their prestige in both. I wanted to go somewhere with football, but where I could also get a good education. This was the only choice. I like the weather, too.

WHAT IS SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF THAT FEW PEOPLE KNOW?
Few people know how small my hometown (Germantown, Ohio) is. It is less than 4,000 people. My high school only had about 500 students in the entire school. I knew everyone in my high school and everybody knows me too. That's why so many people are coming to the Notre Dame game. I'm not just a name.

WHAT WOULD YOU WANT PEOPLE TO SAY ABOUT YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE STANFORD?
There was a guy who enjoyed his time here and really took away a lot of nice experiences on and off the field.

FAVORITE BREAKFAST CEREAL
Honey Bunches of Oats. I'm not into the sugary cereals.

COKE OR PEPSI?
Neither. I prefer water, Gatorade, or fruit drinks.

WATCH SURVIOR? WHO DID YOU WANT TO WIN?
Not one episode. I couldn't even tell you what was going on.

PAPER OR PLASTIC?
Plastic. That's just what they give me.

HOW DID YOU SPEND LAST SUMMER?
I went home for the first month and worked out there, hung out with friends. Then I came out here the rest of the summer and conditioned with guys from the team.
