Stanford, Calif. - Top-ranked Stanford (13-0, 4-0 Pac-10) will be back in action this weekend, hosting William & Mary and then traveling to California, before going on a two-week hiatus for winter quarter final exams.
The Cardinal will host No. 20 William & Mary on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Stanford will then head across the Bay to face eighth-ranked California on Saturday at noon at the Hellman Tennis Center. Stanford has won 69-straight matches and owns a 90-match win streak at the Taube Tennis Center.
The Tribe's record stands at 9-2, after they won their only match last week, defeating No. 33 Maryland, 5-2. William & Mary is playing at Fresno State today and at No. 8 California on Friday. William & Mary has one singles player in the national rankings, No. 39 Megan Moulton-Levy, and one doubles pair, No. 39 Moulton-Levy and Katarina Zoricic. Earlier this season, the Tribe upset No. 5 Duke, 4-3.
The Golden Bears are 10-3 on the year with a 4-0 mark in Pac-10 action. Stanford holds a 53-7 all-time record against Cal, winning both matches last season. The Bears have posted a 6-0 record at home this season and are 8-2 against ranked teams this year.
