Stanford, Ca - The Bay Area community will have an opportunity to see the nationally-ranked Stanford women's gymnastics team when the Cardinal hosts the "Meet the Team & Clinic" on Sunday, November 19 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Ford Center which is located adjacent to Burnham Pavilion on the Stanford University campus.
The day's events will kickoff with an Intrasquad from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The team event will include Stanford standouts Tabitha Yim, Liz Tricase and Heather Purnell along with standout freshman Carly Janiga and 2004 U.S. Olympian Allyse Ishino. Yim has gained seven All-American honors during her two seasons at Stanford, Tricase was ranked #1 nationally most of the year on Bars in 2006, while Purnell was a member of the Canadian Olympic team at the Athens Games in 2004.
The Intrasquad will be free.
The Intrasquad will be followed by a two-hour clinic for all gymnasts (5-17 years of age). The two hour clinic will be taught by members of the Stanford coaching staff and student-athletes. The cost for the clinic is $40 per gymnast. Proceeds from the clinic will benefit the Stanford women's gymnastics program.
