Stanford, Calif. - Join in the celebration of a pair of Stanford Stadium Pre-Grand Opening Festivities this week. On Wednesday, September 13, a Kick-Off Rally for the new Stanford Stadium will take place in Lytton Plaza in downtown Palo Alto. A Block Party sponsored by the City of Palo Alto will take place at the Civic Center Plaza located at Hamilton and Ramona on Friday, September 15.

The new Stanford Stadium Kick-Off Rally
To kick-off the grand opening festivities of the new Stanford Stadium, the Palo Alto community will gather for a Rally in Lytton Plaza.
Lytton Plaza, downtown Palo Alto
Located on the corner of University Avenue and Emerson
Guest Speakers include: Judy Kleinberg, Mayor - City of Palo Alto Walt Harris, Head football coach - Stanford Athletics
Other participants include: Members of the Stanford football squad will be present to greet and answer questions Stanford yell leaders and cheerleaders will rouse the crowd with spirited chants
The new Stanford Stadium & City of Palo Alto Grand Opening Block Party
The Palo Alto community will gather to celebrate the pre-opening of the new Stanford Stadium in a Block Party sponsored by the city of Palo Alto.
*At 5:50pm, the Stanford Yell leaders, cheerleaders and Navy Band will lead the community in a march starting at the corner of University Avenue and Emerson and ending at the Civic Center Plaza.
