Columbus, Ohio - Junior Shannon Montague took first in the solo finals with a score of 96 , and second with teammate Julie Enos in the duet final with a score of 94.267. Stanford synchronized swimming finished as the National Runners Up at the Collegiate National Championships. The Cardinal ended with 89 points, taking second to Ohio State, which finished with 95 points.
In the third day of competition, finals were held in the solo, duet, trio and team. In the solo final, sophomore Lindsey Wigginton placed third with a score of 95.067. In the trio final, the team of Ashley Ensign, Lindsey Wigginton and Kristi Wright finished second with a score of 94.400, and Julie Enos, Paige Freiheit and Stephanie Joukoff took third with a score of 92.800.
In the team final, Stanford took second with a score of 98.600 to give them an overall ranking of 89, good for second place. Shannon Montague, Lindsey Wigginton, Julie Enos, Paige Freiheit, Stephanie Joukoff and Kristi Wright were named All-Americans.
