Stanford, Ca - On Feb. 9 (7:30 p.m.), the nationally-ranked Stanford women's gymnastics team will host top competition (San Jose State, Oregon State, Iowa State) at Maples Pavilion. The evening of outstanding gymnastics will also be "Flip for a Cure," a breast cancer awareness event that will raise money for the Community Breast Health Program, a Bay Area non-profit organization dedicated to providing information and support to people dealing with breast cancer or with breast health issues. All CBHP programs are provided free of charge.

Tickets are available at the door for $6 (adults) and $4 (students aged 13-17). Kids 12-and-under are admitted free, as well as people of any age wearing PINK! $1 from every ticket sold will go directly to the CBHP. For more information on tickets, please call 1-800-STANFORD.

Raffle tickets will be sold for $3 throughout the evening, with all proceeds to benefit the CBHP. Each raffle ticket comes with an imprinted pink ribbon, also worn by competitors. Raffle ticket holders will be eligible for a grand prize drawing of 2 ROUNDTRIP TICKETS ON AMERICAN AIRLINES (continental US destinations). Other prizes will include the chance to be an honorary team member at the Stanford vs. Oklahoma dual meet on Friday, March 9th and authentic Stanford Gymnastics team gear. Hobee's Restaurants and Sports Basement will offer gift certificates to raffle winners, and will also provide benefits with each raffle ticket purchase. The first 500 raffle tickets purchased on February 9th will be accompanied by a certificate for a complimentary entrée at Hobee's with the purchase of another entrée. In addition, all raffle ticket purchasers will receive a certificate for 20% of all February 2007 purchases at the Sports Basement. Those purchases can also be made by deducting 10% for the discount with 10% of your purchase benefiting CBHP.
