Sophomore Arianna Lambie (Harvard, MA/The Bromfield School) of the Stanford Women's Cross Country Team was selected as the Stanford/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 27-Oct. 3.
Lambie ran to victory at the Murray Keatinge Invitational in a time of 16:38.30 last Saturday in Orono, Maine. Lambie crossed the line 13 seconds in front of teammate Teresa McWalters for a 1-2 finish. The Stanford women won the competition with an impressive 25 points, followed by Boston College with 42 and Dartmouth with 85 points. Lambie was also the Stanford Invitational 6,000 meter course champion on September 24 in a time of 21:15.
This is Lambie's first Stanford/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor. Lambie and the rest of the Cardinal Cross Country Team will race next at the Pre-NCAA meet in Terre Haute, IN on Saturday, October 15.
