Four Synchronized Swimmers Named Academic All-Americans

Indianapolis, IN - A record 99 athletes earned Academic All-American status on Thursday from the U.S. Synchronized Swimming Collegiate Coaches Committee, including four Cardinal synchronized swimmers. The honorees from 21 universities number nearly half the 203 entries in the U.S. Collegiate Championships.

The four Stanford athletes to earn the recognition are juniors Blaire Fraser and Stephanie Joukoff, sophomore Amanda Graff-Baker and freshman Shella Sadovnik.

Athletes must earn at least a 3.25 grade point average to be named an Academic All-American. The complete list is of the 2002 Collegiate Academic All-Americans is available at www.usasynchro.org.
