Opening Remarks
"Thank you everyone for coming out. It really means a lot to us and our players. We are really excited to be here. The Tostitos people have been phenomenal with all the preparation and getting ready for us to come down here. We are so excited to be here at the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. There's a lot of work to be done this week, as our players know, but at the same time we want to enjoy this process. There's been a lot of hard work by our players, staff and administrators for us to be here. We are going to take advantage of this situation, enjoy the entire week and enjoy all that you guys have to offer and hopefully give you one heck of a game in about a week."

On coaching in the same bowl his father once coached in:
"It means a lot. My dad is in the back there with my youngest son. I had so many memories as soon as I heard that we were going to the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. My dad coached in the 1982/83 seasons. Those were big games and exciting games and hopefully we can do the same here. The good thing is he won that game also and hopefully we get a chance to win this one."

On playing in a bowl game close to home and in Pac-12 territory:
"I know a lot of our alumni were very excited about being a little closer to home. The best thing about it is last year they traveled across the country (to Miami). Our fans are excited. This team has had an outstanding year and we've had a lot of support and hopefully  we will have a lot of support at the stadium and it sounds like we will."
