Stanford, CA - The Stanford Women's Crew will travel to Rancho Cordova to compete in Sunday's 2004 Pac-10 Championship. The Cardinal will compete in the NCAA events first varsity eight, second varsity eight and varsity four. The first eight heads into the event ranked fifth, the second eight seventh and the four sixth. The event is used as the final measure for a team or at-large bid to NCAA's with each boat needing to secure a third place finish to move on.
The 2003 Pac-10 Championship saw the Card win its first ever gold in the first eight. The second eight won a bronze and the four finished fifth to qualify the team to NCAA's.
The women's novice four will compete on the same course Saturday for the Pacific Coast Rowing Championship. (heat at 8:00 am, final at 2:00 pm)
