• Stanford scored two defensive touchdowns in the contest on a fumble recovery in the UC Davis end zone by Kevin Schimmelmann with 0:56 remaining in the first quarter and a 54-yard TD fumble return by Michael Craven with 6:21 to go in the second quarter ... The two defensive touchdowns marked the first time the Cardinal has accomplished the feat since Tank Williams (25 yards) and Coy Wire (89 yards) both returned fumbles for TD's in the third quarter of a 51-37 win at Arizona on November 10, 2001

Michael Craven's 54-yard fumble return for a TD marked his second career defensive touchdown (he also had a 33-yard TD interception return at Boston College on September 7, 2002)

Kevin Schimmelmann's fumble recovery in the end zone marked his first collegiate score

Babatunde Oshinowo had both a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in tonight's contest, marking his second career fumble recovery and first career forced fumble

• Tonight's contest was the first time Stanford has played a non-Division I-A opponent since the Cardinal beat Cornell by a score of 56-6 in 1991
