STANFORD, Calif. - After a relaxing and enjoyable Thanksgiving Break, SWG was ready to be back in the gym! Needless to say our team was fired up, as we started right where we had left off before break, never having missed a beat. Our building block this week was mental toughness, and our team's mental toughness definitely showed during Sunday's agility. We showed our belief in each other by having someone lie under the beam while a teammate performed a back-handspring layout series. We stuck all 8 out of 8! Our excitement and awesomeness from agility carried over into practice all week!

On Friday, we had our team intrasquad. The team looked awesome as we warmed up, and everyone was pumped up and ready to go! After somewhat of a rough first start on bars, we quickly learned from our mistakes, firing back with big routines! Brownie's flawless lines, perfect cast handstands, and huge release moves topped the event off.

We then carried our excitement over to vault, where the six vault girls looked phenomenal! Each vault was huge with near perfect form. Shout out to Shelley's perfect stuck vault!

With a mix of both new and old floor routines, the girls' artistry, detail, and showmanship was taken to a new level on our third event. Dani started off with incredibly solid tumbling and intense dance. Amo's double Arabian is sky high, as is Shelley's full-in! Of course, Weedge and Peach's artistry and "x-factor" shine on this event while Ming and Daytona really stepped up with new routines and new passes that look awesome!

The momentum from the previous three events carried over to our last event. On beam, the girls looked rock solid, giving up nothing and going all out. Brownie and Dani started off with great, steady routines that set the pace for the rest of the line-up. Amo and Shelley's aggressiveness showed through in their skills and Shelley ended the day with a perfect layout layout series and a great routine!

It's great to see all of our hard work pay off, as we get ready for the season. We are so excited to get the season started and SWG is definitely ready to go for our next intrasquad at San Jose State next Sunday at 5 p.m.! We hope to see you there! Until next week, GO CARD!
