Stanford women's gymnastics is proud to announce an exciting new addition to the women's gymnastics page. The new multimedia "Audio/Video Center" will allow fans a closer look at the team through video highlights and photo galleries throughout 2004.
Fans can now download streaming video clips of competition highlights in the new multimedia section. Highlights from the 2003 NCAA Championships are currently available and new highlights will be added after each competition in 2004. Another new feature will allow fans to browse through photo galleries from competitions, team events and candid snapshots.
In addition to the "Audio/Video Center" there will be several new exciting features on the Stanford Women's Gymnastics website. Score updates will be posted throughout each home competition bringing the energy of the Burnham Pavilion into homes around the country. For fans who want the inside scoop, Stanford Head Coach Kristen Smyth will be posting the "Smyth Report", an in-depth weekly look at the Cardinal.
Fans will now be able to follow the No. 6 ranked Stanford Cardinal as they take on some of the best competition in the nation. The Cardinal, who return six All-Americans, open the season by hosting San Jose State, Sacramento State and Central Michigan in the Stanford Quadrangular on January 9, 2004. Stanford then begins a demanding string of competitions where the Cardinal will face seven consecutive opponents who are ranked in the preseason top 25. The Cardinal will host No. 17 Arizona on January 23, No. 15 Washington on January 30, and No. 21 California on February 20.
Stanford's road schedule is highlighted with visits to No. 9 Arizona State (1/18), No. 1 UCLA (2/8) which will be nationally televised on Fox Sports, No. 13 Oklahoma (2/13), and No. 11 Oregon State (2/27).
