Seattle, Wash. - Women's Crew wrapped up their fall racing season with a winning performance in the Women's Open Eight event at the Head of the Lake Fall Regatta. The Cardinal's first varsity finished 14 seconds ahead of the Washington Huskies. This is the first time that Stanford has won this event. The second varsity placed sixth with just three seconds separating third through sixth places. This is the most competitive fall finish ever for the Cardinal. Coach Aimee Baker states, "The racing this weekend was very tight with all the PAC-10 teams finishing up top. I am pleased with the performance of the team this fall. We have a lot of work ahead of us to be ready for spring racing but I am sure that the fall results will be very motivating for the team." For complete results go to www.lakewashingtonrowing.com.
