Stanford, Ca - Youth coaches and parents in the Bay Area are invited to join Stanford head basketball coach Mike Montgomery and his staff for a free Youth Coaches Clinic on Tuesday, December 11, at Maples Pavilion on the Stanford University campus.
The clinic, which is free and will start at 7:00 p.m., will include a wide range of basketball teaching subjects including philosophy for coaching youth teams, teaching fundamentals of team offense and defense, skill development drills, and how to make basketball a positive experience for kids.
The event, which is sponsored by Stanford Basketball in conjunction with the Positive Coaching Alliance, will also include a question and answer session with Coach Montgomery and his staff.
The nationally-ranked Stanford men's basketball team, three-time defending Pac-10 champions, will practice from 4-6 p.m. at Maples Pavilion and clinic participants are welcome to arrive early and observe. Coach's information packets will be available.

"It's a great way for the team to say thanks to the fans for their great support," according to senior guard Tony Giovacchini.
Stanford is currently 3-1 and ranked 14th in the nation.
