Skip Kenney Named Pac-10 Men's Swimming Coach Of The Year

Walnut Creek, Calif. - Stanford head men's swimming coach Skip Kenney was tabbed Pac-10 Coach of the Year, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today. California's Anthony Irvin and Duje Draganja were named Swimmer and Newcomer of the Year as well.

Kenney, led the Cardinal to its 21st consecutive Pac-10 Championship in 2001-02. At the Conference championships, his swimmers won seven individual titles and three relay titles. Kenney coached Stanford to a second consecutive runner-up finish at the NCAA Championships. At the pool in Athens, Georgia, the Cardinal notched three individual titles and three relay titles. The men's swimming Coach of the Year award is the 14th of Kenney's career.

The Swimmer, Newcomer and Coach of the Year honors are determined by a coaches vote.
