STANFORD, Calif. - Second-ranked Stanford women's rowing will play host to No. 3 California this Saturday at The Big Row at Redwood Shores. Racing action is set to begin at 10 a.m.
The two crews had the chance to face off two weeks ago at the Lake Natoma Invitational, with Stanford
The Stanford women will get underway at 10:20 a.m., led off by the Four taking on California. Two weeks ago at the Lake Natoma Invitational, the Cardinal dropped a seven-second decision to the Golden Bears, and will look to make it up Saturday.
The women's II Eight race is set to get off at 11 a.m., as the Cardinal will attempt to repeat its 5.2-second win over the Golden Bears two weeks ago.
The main event of Saturday's Big Row will be the battle between the I Eights of the two schools. Stanford captured the past race, at Lake Natoma, taking a 4.65-second win over the Golden Bears. This Saturday's race is set for a start time of 11:30 a.m.
The trophy presentations and post-race ceremony will begin at 12 p.m.
Once again at this year's Big Row, Dan Gordon of Gordon Biersch Brewery will host the Big Row BBQ during and following the races.
