  • Stanford redshirt freshman Matt Traverso's touchdown reception in the second quarter is the first of his career. The catch also marked the first reception of his career as well.

  • Cardinal Luke Powell's 90-yard punt return for a touchdown in the second quarter was his first on the 2003 season and the second of his career.

  • Powell's 90-yard punt return for a touchdown is the second longest in school history (longest was 92 yards by Thomas Henley vs. Oregon in 1986).

  • The last time Stanford recorded a punt return for a touchdown was in 2000 (by Luke Powell vs. Arizona State, 11/11/00) for 51 yards.

  • Dave Ball's 26.5 career sacks ties a UCLA school record (Eric Smith, 1984-89). His 12.5 sacks this season ties him for second for a single season at UCLA (Donnie Edwards, 1994; Jamir Miller, 1993). He also has 39.5 career tackles for a loss, which moves him into third all-time for the Bruins.

  • Cardinal Trevor Hooper's third quarter interception is the first of his career.

  • Chris Lewis now has 3,646 career passing yards and needs just 91 yards to tie for 10th in career passing yards on The Farm (would tie Dick Norman, 1958-60 with 3,737).

  • Today's Stanford victory snaps a four-game losing streak by the Cardinal ... It also snaps a nine-game losing streak in Pac-10 contests.

  • Stanford has now posted three consecutive wins over UCLA at Stanford Stadium (1999, 2001, '03).

  • The Cardinal's 91 yards passing today ranks as the sixth fewest passing yards in a single game by a Stanford team.

  • Craig Bragg had six receptions for 86 yards today, giving him 134 for his career which ranks sixth on the all-time receptions list at UCLA. He now has 2,074 career yards, which also ranks sixth on the all-time career receiving yardage list. He now has 50 receptions this season and that ranks ninth for a single season.

  • Luke Powell had 100 yards in punt returns today, which brings his career total in punt return yards to 801 to move him into fourth place all-time on The Farm.
