Stanford, Calif. - The Stanford men's swimming team participated at a candlelight vigil as part of the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance on the Friday, September 14, dedicated to the September 11th national tragedy.
They lined the entrance to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., along with other athletes from around the country and sang the National Anthem, Good Bless America, and America the Beautiful.
"It was important for us to take a moment and take part in this event," said associate head coach Ted Knapp. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the tragedy."
