The Stanford Lightweight Women finished sixth in the Petite Final at the IRA national championships on Saturday in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Racing began on Friday morning, where the Cardinal's Lightweight 8+ placed fifth in their heat, advancing to the Friday afternoon repechage. The Cardinal had a solid race in the rep, finishing second behind Georgetown and placing them as a top seed heading into the petite final.
In their final race of the season, Stanford struggled with the difficult conditions and finished sixth, placing them twelfth overall. Wisconsin lightweights won their third straight national championship, with Georgetown and Radcliffe rounding out the top three.
