Chris Moxhay joins the Stanford women's lacrosse coaching staff as a volunteer assistant after serving two seasons as the top assistant at Boston College. At BC Chris was primarily responsible for coaching the defense and goalies. Off the field his energies were focused on recruiting, and planning for the program's January 2005 competitive tour of Australia and New Zealand. Prior to BC, Chris served as an assistant coach for the Bowdoin College women's lacrosse team during his junior and senior years there. He was initially recruited to Bowdoin for football and lacrosse, following standout careers in both at Greenwich High School and the Taft School.
Chris first became involved with women's lacrosse during high school, as a volunteer coach for the Greenwich Youth Lacrosse girls' division. In the ensuing ten years, he has coached thousands of girls and young women from first-graders through college All-Americans. In addition to his time at BC and Bowdoin, he has coached for Babson College, Greenwich High School, Convent of the Sacred Heart, and Connecticut Lacrosse Futures, a premier high school club program. He has also been active on the summer camp circuit.
